Markets turned lackluster.

The markets have turned lackluster today and are swinging around the unchanged mark. Further the weak opening of the European markets also turned down the sentiments further. The Auto, FMCG and Capital Goods stocks remained in pressure today. However the IT index today outperformed the benchmark index as it now trading with a gain of more than 3%. The broader market indices are however remained in pressure as both the BSE Mid Cap and the small Cap indices are trading with a cut of more than 0.5% each.

The overall market breadth is negative as 1036 stocks are advancing while 1537 stocks are declining in BSE.

TCS reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack, as it is trading up by (7.59%) at Rs. 546.85 while Mahindra & Mahindra reported the top loser trading down by (7.74%) at Rs. 769.55.

At 2.31PM the BSE Sensex is trading lower by 32.11 points at 15,128.13 and the NSE Nifty is trading lower by 13.45 points at 4,467.95.

The BSE Mid Cap decreased by 30.42 points to 5,402.83 and the BSE Small Cap fell by 51.30 points to 6,142.68.

The IT index is trading with gains of 144.12 points or 3.68% at 4,063.24. Leading from the gainers pack are TCS trading up by 7.02% at Rs. 543.95 along with Patni Computers by 6.07% at Rs. 376.50, Mphasis by 4.47% at Rs. 497.35, Wipro by 3.83% at Rs. 518, Tech Mahindra by 3.44% at Rs. 793.50, Oracle Finance by 3.16% at Rs. 1525 and Rolta India by 1.39% at Rs. 149.85.

The Auto index is trading with deep cut of 202.46 points or 3.71% at Rs. 5,254.63. Losers from this pack are Mahindra and Mahindra trading lower by 8.17% at Rs. 766 followed by Bajaj Auto by 6.93% at Rs. 1094, Hero Honda Motors by 3.75% at Rs. 1425.70, Maruti Suzuki by 2.81% at Rs. 1255, MRF by 1.94% at Rs. 4,384.20, Tata Motors by 1.50% at Rs. 408.30 and Apollo Tyres by 1.12% at Rs. 39.65.

The most active shares on NSE are Suzlon Energy trading at Rs. 82.90 with a total traded quantity of 43905014 shares followed by Unitech trading at Rs. 86.40 with a total traded quantity of 39211736 shares.

Nucleus Software Exports Limited is trading up by 5.71% at Rs. 97.25. The company has won a core banking order for their product FinnOne™ from Malayan Bank, Philippines for the implementation of Complete Banking Solution to enhance bank''''s operations. Complete suite of FinnOne™ will be implemented at 9 branches of the bank including the head office.

Reliance Communications Ltd is trading up by 0.61% at Rs. 256.30. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 48026.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 25864.40 million for the year ended March 31, 2008. Total Income has increased from Rs 134266.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2008 to Rs 136946.70 million for the year ended March 31, 2009.

On the global markets front, the European markets are now trading lower as the FTSE 100, DAX and CAC 40 index are trading down by (0.53%), (0.71%) and (0.57%) respectively.
