Markets are still trading higher.

The stock markets though slipped off from the day’s high but are still trading higher. Further the positive opening of the European markets also boosted the sentiments. The Auto and Realty index today outperformed the benchmark index as both the indices are now trading with a gain of more than 3% each. Further, the Metal, Consumer Durables and Metal stocks also remained in demand today. The broader market indices are also supporting the markets as both the BSE Mid Cap and the small Cap indices are trading with a gain of more than 1% each.

The overall market breadth is positive as 1441 stocks are advancing while 1101 stocks are declining in BSE.
Tata Motors reported the top gainer from the BSE Sensex pack, as it is trading up by (7.22%) at Rs.429.90 while HDFC reported the top loser trading down by (1.66%) at Rs. 2,290.

At 2.31PM the BSE Sensex is trading higher by 98.05 points at 15,107.82 and the NSE Nifty is trading higher by 44.05 points at 4,481.70.

The BSE Mid Cap increased by 66.54 points to 5,407.02 and the BSE Small Cap grew by 54.95 points to 6,127.98.

The Auto index is trading with decent gains of 199.78 points or 3.83% at 5,410.05. Leading from the gainers pack are Tata Motors trading up by 7.63% at Rs. 431.55 along with Cummins India by 5.88% at Rs. 310.50, Ashok Leyland by 5.05% at Rs. 34.30, Mahindra & Mahindra by 4.14% at Rs. 789.50, Bajaj Auto by 3.78% at Rs. 1110.05, Maruti Suzuki by 3.47% at Rs. 1294.80, Amtek Auto by 1.57% at Rs. 139.50 and Apollo Tyres by 1.43% at Rs. 39.

The Realty index is trading higher by 109.19 points or 3.02% at 3,725. Gainers from this pack are Anant Raj In trading up by 9.61% at Rs. 126.05 followed by Penland Ltd by 6.52% at Rs. 75.95, Ansal Infra by 5.25% at Rs. 57.10, Phoenix Mill by 5.16% at Rs. 123.20, HDIL by 5.13% at Rs. 263.50, Orbitco by 4.99% at Rs. 193.55 and Mahindra Life by 4.24% at Rs. 312.

The most active shares on NSE are Unitech trading at Rs. 87.45 with a total traded quantity of 34517906 shares followed by Suzlon Energy trading at Rs. 84.30 with a total traded quantity of 31316494 shares.

BOC India Ltd is trading up by 0.12% at Rs. 165.15. The company has informed that the Company has signed a long term contract with Jindal Stainless Ltd for installation of an Air Separation Unit on a hire basis at their steel works at Kalinganagar Industrial Complex, Duburi, Jaipur in Orissa and for operation and maintenance of the said plant to provide 300 tpd of gaseous oxygen, 70 tpd of gaseous nitrogen and 55 tpd of gaseous argon to them.

Gammon Infrastructure Projects Ltd is trading higher by 4.97% at Rs. 103.55. The company has informed that the Board of Directors of the Company has by circular resolution approved the sub-division of the issued and un-issued equity shares of the Company of the face value of Rs 10/- (Ten) each into 5 (Five) equity shares of Rs 2/- (Two) each, subject to the approval of the shareholders.

On the global markets front, the European markets are now trading higher as the FTSE 100, DAX and CAC 40 index are trading up by (0.40%), (0.52%) and (0.54%) respectively.
